So viele schöne Erinnerungen an vier vergangene Peace Dance Festivals in Leipzig…
Im letzten Jahr konnte es dann nicht stattfinden. Und auch in diesem Jahr wird es kein Peace Dance Festival geben. Ob dies das endgültige Ende des Festivals bedeutet, soll nocht nicht 100% entschieden sein.
Auch in diesem Jahr kann es kein 3 Tages Event mit verstärkter Musik in unserer Leipziger Lieblingslocation, dem Heiter bis Wolkig geben. (Einmal im Monat aber kann das HbW eine Veranstaltung durchführen.)
Nach vielen Überlegungen über eventuelle Alternativelocations, darüber das Freitag und Sonntagprogramm dann in der Nähe an anderen Orten stattfinden zu lassen, fiel nun die Entscheidung, dass dies alles nicht der richtige Weg sein kann. Das wäre der Versuch krampfhaft etwas weiterzumachen, was dann aber nicht mehr an das Vergangene heranreicht. Zumindest was Leipzig betrifft, ist für nun klar: ein Peace Dance in Leipzig gehört ins Heiter bis Wolkig!
Manchmal ist es vielleicht einfach an der Zeit loszulassen, Platz für Neues zu öffnen, auch wenn das Alte doch so schön war… Es war…
ABER
Auch wenn das Peace Dance Festival vielleicht Geschichte ist, können wir doch in diesem Jahr, im Juni zusammenkommen…

Dies ist kein Ersatz für das Festival,
aber die Möglichkeit weiter gemeinsam im Freundeskreis, in der Leipziger Familie für und in Frieden zu tanzen. Was gibt es wichtigeres auf dieser Welt, als den Frieden?
Es ist an der Zeit sich zu treffen, zu reden auch wenn man in manchen Dingen andere Meinungen haben mag, andere Musikstile bevorzugt…. Wir alle..zusammen! An einem Junitag in Leipzig. Yippie!

Mark Lupescu & Christian Walter – instrumentale Musik mit Einflüssen westafrikanischer Musik, Jazz und Electronic – Die beiden waren auf allen Peace Dance Festivals dabei und das nicht ohne Grund, bei den letzten 2 Festivalausgaben brachten sie uns schon freitags zum Tanzen
und Oriom – das ist das SoloProjekt vom Orange Sänger Rainer von Vielen. Dieser war bereits 2021 mit seinem ersten Album und spacedubelectro beim Peace Dance Festival dabei. Dear people…
So many beautiful memories of four past Peace Dance Festivals in Leipzig…
Then last year it could not take place. And also this year there will be no Peace Dance Festival. Whether this means the final end of the festival is not 100% decided yet.
Also this year there can be no 3 day event with amplified music in our favorite Leipzig location, the Heiter bis Wolkig. (Once a month, however, the HbW can host an event).
After many considerations about possible alternative locations, about letting the Friday and Sunday program then take place nearby at other locations, the decision was made last week that all this cannot be the right way. That would be the attempt frantically to continue something, which then but no longer reaches the past. At least what Leipzig concerns, is for now clear: a Peace Dance in Leipzig belongs to the Heiter bis Wolkig!
Sometimes it might be time to let go, to make room for something new, even if the old was so beautiful… It was…
BUT
Even though the Peace Dance Festival may be history, we can still come together this year, in June….

PEACE DANCE on June 10.

from noon to 10 pm
This is not a replacement for the festival
but the possibility to continue dancing together in the circle of friends, in the Leipzig family for and in peace. What is more important in this world than peace?
It’s time to meet, to talk even if you have different opinions in some things, other music styles preferred…. All of us..together! On a June day in Leipzig. Yippee!

and Oriom – this is the solo project of Orange singer Rainer von Vielen. He was already at the Peace Dance Festival in 2021 with his first album and spacedubelectro.
